Internet Name

I have been thinking about stop calling myself Felix more and more and start using my real name.

Then I thought more about why do you use your internet name? Why did you choose it , will you keep using it? I have used Felix since 2003 and before that my previous 2 internet names I used since 1998.

Dro pretty much summed it up. But this gives me a way to distinguish who actually knows me, if some one I don&#39;t know very well calls me by my real name ingame or on the forums I won&#39;t acknowledge them.

I use Psy because when I started playing KO 10 years ago it was available.

anyway i used this name for years before i started to play KO and still use it for tons of stuff...its very original and i think ive only ran into one time it was taken so yea xD <3 my name

all the other names i use are semi-easy to think of but surprisingly never taken

im really surprised how few people use msn nicknames
everyone in my ko4life list on msn has a nickname reflecting their ko4life name

edit: this is exactly why i use nicknames


for whatever reason people like to fill their nametag up with pictures and meaningless junk

got private from playing the first day of defeat on a 56 k modem always played the same server but didn&#39;t know how to change my name and when i figured it out everyone knew me as private so i just added !@! to the front and back of private

Most people got their names from the very first games they played.

Mine in particular I got it from a place called elucidsystems.com or seomthing is what its called. Just really liked the name and used it on soldier of fortune 2. After that I just kept using it for everything else I did.

well i choose this name because i had it in ko on cypher but it orginated when i made the name in a war game... then i came here under the same.. truthfully i wouldnt Mind Using Ryan.

Most people don&#39;t want complete strangers knowing their real name. :unsure:

It&#39;s always funny when you call someone by their internet nickname and then you hear someone on vent in the background calling them their real name though, I&#39;m always like "wtf are they talking to..?" rofl

Sometimes, a lot of people try to prove how well they know a person by calling them their real name instead of their internet name. :mellow:

But yeah, plus one to the guy who said most people use the names from the first games you played as a kid, its true for me.
