and everyone silly enough to think oh whoever launches first will win is retarded. the thought behind nuclear wars is mutually assured destruction. basically the thought is this by having a large nuclear stockpile if anyone was to ever make a first strike you would strike back with such a large amount of nukes that the enemy would be destroyed.

this type of thinking has been keeping the world nuclear war free since the 1940s this whole convention of thinking is what led to the arms race and the cold war. everyone developed technology and arms that were better and better. if a country has the money and technology to develop nuclear arms you can be sure they have enough technology to protect their borders and have radar and such to know if a misslie is coming for them.

also most countries that have a large nuclear stockpile have nuke bases in other countries including the united states and russia. you can be assured if the usa has a airforce or army base in a country they probably have nuclear misslies their too. Both to protect their intrests and the allies who have allowed them into their country. No one wants a nuclear war because surely even countries not hit with nukes would still be damaged by a large scale nuclear war with inevitable nuclear fallout all over the world. no one would really win. both countries engaged would be destroyed.

everyone also seems to think oh u just press a button and a missile hits somewhere its taking time for the missile to reach anywhere. in this time all the country being attacked would have to do is launch their own nukes. countries like america, russia, china not only do the have icbm missiles but nuclear misslie subs which can travel anywhere in the world and park off your coast and bomb u back to the stone age. also they have nuclear bombers placed all over the world for failsafe measures. be assured that if nuclear war was to happen there would be no winner. everyone would lose .

I highly doubt if nuclear war were to be declared, it would be a matter of one or two bombs, it would be many nuclear strikes consisting of several nukes each hitting several targets at once, crippling the entire target country, or possibly even many countries.
