That's the specific reason why I didn't and will not ever open a server... because I pretty much know nothing of development. On the other hand, we got twostars here who is a legend, yet failing to keep up his 'legendary skills' as a developer.

I was just assuming that he has shitty secruity due to the amount of money he wasted on it. I just even asked how much did he spend on renting the server, and he ignored it. I'm not out to get him,... I just really wanted to know. Only explanation is that it's probably a cheap one... in which case I just find it completely illogical for him to not simply drop all the money he has gained so far from the PUS (which is quite alot) and even some extra cash to get a top notch security server, and in return he would be gaining that same amount within probably just 2-3 days.

I know these type of posts are helping, but then again, it's my birthday, and I just feel like trolling atm instead of writing my final essay.

^ He can't, that's why he plays one that has insured people and revolves around their good security, not only does he play it but afaik up to now he has donated a fair share and intends to do more, why can't he moan when the service isn't up-to the level they promised?

He's not asking for the server to come up now, be unhackable and fucking have GM's answer his every question, he and nearly everyone is just asking for an update. And no, saying "When it's ready, I'll announce it" isn't an update. A specific ( even if it is extremely vague ) frame of time that it could possibly take, like can people go to sleep? Do they expect the server to be up in a few hours? Can't they give a release date and time for tomorrow, tell us if Gadget is asleep? Shit like that.

A simple message from a GM in the shoutbox gives a little hope to people, and a little enlightenment onto the subject, it's why I like phantom as a GM, he's honest about what's going on and tries to keep people up-to-date.

The reason why they are not giving us any updates is probaly because they are working they're arse off to make it work.

We all know they're working hard on the server, and of course we appreciate that and all their hard-work on the server, through donations and loyal players they can see that, but do you really think it would take anything more then 5 minutes out of their work to say "Server won't be up until tomorrow, go to sleep" or "I'm going to sleep now, I will work on the server tomorrow?"

It wouldn't. Again, no one is asking for an update every 5 minutes. It's just their last update that was like 15 hours ago saying "a few hours more." That and the whole uncertainty about this situation is what is riling players up, not the actual downtime.

As much as we would like to believe that he's server is not perfect... from the community's perspective... a server that's able to stay up without being DDOS'd seems pretty much a damn perfect server to me, or at least defines perfect when it comes to KO servers.

Actually FYI, we have been getting DDoS attacks last few weeks.
